Dunedin has the ambition to be one of the top clubs in Scotland and to be recognised as a leader on and off the court amongst the netball community but most importantly we want to be able to provide our current and future members the best opportunities to develop and thrive as netballers. We are delighted that our current performance programme has been recognised at the top level of netball in Scotland and to be awarded a team position (along with 6 other clubs) in Netball Scotland’s inaugural National League competition. 

 

Ahead of this new league we invite individuals who wish to be considered for our National League squad to register for our upcoming trials, we extend this invite to both existing and new members of Dunedin to be considered. All individuals will be required to complete the registration form below and should consider the player eligibility criteria. 

 

Trial Registration

Trials are taking place at Oriam, Scotland's National Performance Centre, Heriot-Watt University, EH14 4AS

• Attached provides a detailed outline of the confirmed National League Programme for the season; including the aim of the squad, the Training & Competition Schedule, levels of expectations and commitment required for those involved, and so individuals wishing to be considered should ensure they review this in advance of signing up

 

Registration will close at midnight on Saturday 6th Aug to allow the coaching teams to process all registration sign-ups & plan a selection session tailored to those registered.

 

Player Selection Eligibility Criteria

Players should be either:

• a current member of Dunedin 1st/2nd team (from the previous season)

• have played within Division 1 CENA, NPL GNA or BUCS 1 league over the past 2 full seasons

• currently (or in the past 2 full seasons) been a part of the NS pathway, this extends from National age group academies/Sirens Academies, U17, U21, SSS Rep squad etc

• Players will be eligible to play/be selected for both National League and CENA squads this season.  

• Trials and selections will be delivered in line with the clubs NL Selection Policy which can be viewed here.
